LONDON (Reuters) – British police said on Sunday that two truck drivers had been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a fatal motorway collision involving two lorries and a minibus early on Saturday left eight people dead and four seriously injured.

Ryszard Masierak, aged 31, was charged with eight counts of causing death by dangerous driving, four counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and eight counts of causing death by careless driving while over the prescribed limit for alcohol, Thames Valley Police said in a statement.

David Wagstaff, aged 53, was charged with eight counts of causing death by dangerous driving and four counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

All of the deceased and injured were travelling in the minibus in the collision near the English town of Newport Pagnell, 50 miles northwest of London.
