ROME – The anti Covid-19 vaccine will be distributed at cost price. According to initial information, some doses could already arrive in Italy in December, with priority for health personnel and law enforcement. While the trial of the Covid-19 vaccine continues, details on the price also come from AstraZeneca. A dose of vaccine will cost 2 euros, neither more nor less than the production price. This is said by Josep Baselga, executive vice president of Oncology Research and Development of the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, interviewed by the Catalan radio Rac 1.

PRODUCTION ALREADY STARTED – Two euros for a dose of vaccine which, again as anticipated by Baselga, will be administered in two doses 28 days apart. Production has already begun, as specified in the last few days at Financialounge.com by Piero Di Lorenzo, CEO of IRBM, the research center in Pomezia which collaborates with the University of Oxford in the development of the vaccine then developed by AstraZeneca. The pharmaceutical company has already started production “in the dark”, that is, before the approval of the regulatory bodies, to be ready immediately after the green light.
