WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The U.S. Senate is expected to vote on Wednesday evening to confirm a top antitrust official at the Justice Department and a top official at the Treasury Department who will oversee international deals, according to a Senate schedule.

The Senate is expected to vote to confirm Makan Delrahim to head the Justice Department’s Antitrust Division.

It is also expected to vote on Heath Tarbert to be an assistant secretary of the treasury. Tarbert is expected to oversee the inter-agency Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, which assesses proposed transactions to ensure they do not harm national security.
