by OZGE YILDIRIM – The Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office of Izmir reported that Banu Ö. was detained within the scope of the investigation carried out by sabotaging the central audio system of the Mufti and those who shared music from the speakers of some mosques in the city and shared the action with social media accounts. Banu Ö, who worked as a manager in a consultancy company, was detained for “publicly humiliating religious values” under article 216/3 of the Turkish Penal Code. ”  statement was given.

On the other hand, it was learned that one more person was detained under the same investigation and that this person was released on the condition of judicial control .Music was broadcast yesterday from the speakers of some mosques in Izmir.  In the statement made by the mufti, it was stated that the broadcast was made by those who were piratedly intervened in the frequency of the central system, and that an investigation was launched and a criminal complaint was filed.

The Izmir Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office also announced that an investigation was launched about those who carried out the action and shared the videos about the action from their social media accounts with praise.
